enduring winter

It's been cold cold cold in Connecticut for weeks now. This is the river in front of our apartment.

We're trying to figure out ways to enjoy the outdoors without strapping Zoey immobile into her stroller. This weekend we tried operation baby backpack. She seemed to like it, although I think it had a fun time limit of about half an hour.

Poor Zoey's been super-sick.  What started as some sniffles last Tuesday evolved into a double ear infection and a sky-high 104 degree fever.  Today she's got a big rash so we're off to the doctor for the third time in a week.

Here she is waiting to get checked out.  Overall, given her many afflictions, she's been a trooper.

We're having a ton of snow this year.  It's about time Zoey started enjoying it!

This weekend we took her sledding.  She thought it was a blast and loved heading down the slope, although sometimes she got distracted by the mittens attached to her snowsuit, which were also very exciting.
